Yesterday I did 5 miles on the treadmill. I started out easy to see how my foot felt. It was ok. Not 100 percent but more discomfort than pain.
I managed to do a 8:48 average pace, running negative splits down to below my half marathon pace. I’m got a massage about an hour after. Things felt ok. I’m nervous about every little twinge, though.
Today I’m going to try a seven mile tempo run, again on the treadmill so I don’t strand myself somewhere should the foot want me to stop. Later this afternoon, I see my chiropractor. He’s the best. I’m glad he was able to move me up a day in his schedule.
Fingers crossed I’m going to be fine for September 15.
