Remember my goal was 2:15?

I did it in 2:06.

And it was fun 🙂

    • I practiced the hills slowly the day before. I think I mentioned that my mother in law’s house literally sits right on top of the largest hill on the course, which we also had to crest twice. During the race, my MIL and son (and my husband the first time around before he scooted off to catch me at the finish line) were at the top to cheer me on. Knowing they were up there buoyed my spirits. In fact, they are teasing me for how upbeat I was, especially compared to the other runners.

So, I had a little “home team” advantage. 😉
