Not a Morning Person

20130530-064203.jpgWhat kind of psycho wakes up at 5 a.m. to do a four mile Central Park tour for kicks?

Me and the people talking to the Maine statue, that’s who. And I think a couple other women are here waiting for my guide and doing warm ups. I’d say they’re making me look bad, but I do that all on my own and I don’t care what anyone thinks.

Hmm, maybe those two aren’t with the tour. I hope it’s not just me. Then I might have to have a conversation with the guide. Did I mention I’m not feeling very social this week?

I think it’s hysterical I signed up for this.

Joss Whedon tonight after a long conference day.

Update: What a fun tour! It was only one other lady and the pace was leisurely. I ran another 1.5 miles back to the hotel. And being social was easy — my tour guide was a lovely young woman.

Anyone interested, here’s a link to City Running Tours. They operate in multiple cities, and it’s a great new way to experience a new place.

  1. Yk, once you get there and get going, it really is a nice way to start the day.
I find it’s the “getting there” that’s the much bigger problem.
Enjoy you day as much as possible and have a great time this evening!

  2. I am definitely not a morning person now and the idea of getting up at 5 AM makes me feel tired. I did that bit for so many years. Now I at least sleep until 6:30 most days. Have a good tour.

Have your say
